Mobile Car Valeting & Detailing Services

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services supplied by TIDY JOB LTD. By booking a service, making payment or permitting work to commence, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Company Information
1.1 TIDY JOB LTD is a company registered in Scotland under Company Number SC710320.
1.2 References to “TIDY JOB LTD”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to TIDY JOB LTD.
1.3 References to “Customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the person making the booking or paying for the service.

2. Services
2.1 We provide mobile vehicle valeting and detailing services at locations chosen by the Customer.
2.2 All services are carried out using reasonable care and skill.
2.3 Service descriptions, prices and packages may change without prior notice.
2.4 We reserve the right to refuse any booking where we reasonably believe the requested service cannot be completed safely or to an acceptable standard.

3. Bookings
3.1 Bookings may be made through our website, online booking system, telephone, email, SMS, social media or any other approved communication method.
3.2 A booking is only confirmed once confirmation has been issued by TIDY JOB LTD.
3.3 We reserve the right to refuse any booking without providing a reason where permitted by law.
3.4 Appointment times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

4. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
- provide accurate contact details;
- provide the correct service address;
- ensure the vehicle is accessible;
- provide sufficient working space;
- ensure the vehicle can be legally worked on;
- remove all valuables before the appointment;
- disclose any known damage before work begins;
- disclose any special requirements before the appointment;
- ensure children and pets are kept away from the working area.
Failure to comply may prevent completion of the service and may result in cancellation charges.

5. Prices
5.1 Prices shown on our website apply to vehicles in average condition.
5.2 Additional charges may apply for vehicles requiring substantially more time than expected.
Examples include but are not limited to:
- excessive mud;
- excessive pet hair;
- mould;
- bodily fluids;
- vomit;
- biohazards;
- excessive staining;
- construction dust;
- excessive sand;
- heavy contamination.
5.3 Any additional charge will be explained before extra work begins whenever reasonably possible.

6. Payment
6.1 Payment may be made by:
- Card
- Online Payment
- Bank Transfer
- Gift Card
- Approved payment methods displayed at checkout.
6.2 Online bookings may require payment in advance.
6.3 Where payment is due after completion of the service, it must be made immediately unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.4 Failure to pay may result in recovery action, cancellation of future bookings and suspension of any memberships.

7. Online Payments & Refunds
7.1 Where a Customer chooses to pay online before the appointment, the payment reserves the appointment slot and prevents it from being offered to another customer.
7.2 If a booking is cancelled in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, any refund that is due may, at the discretion of TIDY JOB LTD, be issued as a service voucher of equal value unless a cash refund is required by applicable law.
7.3 Cash refunds will normally only be provided where TIDY JOB LTD is unable to provide the booked service due solely to our own fault or where required by applicable law.
7.4 Transaction fees charged by payment providers may be deducted where legally permitted.

8. Appointment Times
8.1 Appointment times are approximate.
8.2 Delays may occur because of:
- traffic;
- weather;
- previous appointments taking longer than expected;
- road closures;
- vehicle breakdowns;
- other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8.3 Reasonable delays do not entitle the Customer to compensation or cancellation without charge.

9. Access to the Vehicle
If we cannot carry out the booked service because:
- the Customer is absent;
- keys are unavailable;
- the vehicle cannot be accessed;
- the address provided is incorrect;
- parking restrictions prevent work;
- another circumstance outside our reasonable control prevents access,
the booking may be treated as a No Show and the applicable cancellation policy will apply.
10. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
10.1 Customers may cancel or reschedule an appointment by contacting TIDY JOB LTD using one of our approved communication methods.
10.2 The following cancellation charges apply:
More than 48 hours before the appointment
No cancellation charge.
Between 12 and 48 hours before the appointment
A cancellation fee equal to 40% of the total booking value will apply.
Less than 12 hours before the appointment
The full booking value (100%) will be charged.
10.3 Where a booking has been paid in advance, any refund due will be processed in accordance with Section 18 (Refund Policy).
10.4 Repeated last-minute cancellations or repeated requests to reschedule may result in future bookings being refused.
10.5 A replacement appointment offered following a late cancellation is entirely at the discretion of TIDY JOB LTD and shall not create any entitlement to further replacement appointments.

11. No Show
A booking shall be treated as a No Show where:
- the Customer is not present;
- the vehicle is unavailable;
- keys cannot be provided;
- access is refused;
- the Customer cannot be contacted within a reasonable period;
- the Customer refuses the service after our arrival.
In these circumstances:
- the booking will be treated as completed;
- no refund will be issued;
- no replacement appointment is guaranteed.

12. Weather Conditions
12.1 TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to postpone appointments where weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to complete the service.
Examples include:
- heavy rain;
- thunderstorms;
- snow;
- ice;
- flooding;
- strong winds;
- freezing temperatures;
- any other unsafe working conditions.
12.2 Where possible, the Customer will be offered the next available suitable appointment.
12.3 A postponement due to weather does not entitle the Customer to a cash refund solely because the appointment is moved.
12.4 If TIDY JOB LTD is unable to provide the service within a reasonable period due solely to our own fault, an appropriate refund or alternative remedy will be offered where required.

13. Customer Delays
If the Customer causes delays by:
- arriving late;
- failing to prepare the vehicle;
- failing to provide keys;
- requesting additional work after arrival;
- preventing work from commencing promptly,
TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to:
- reduce the scope of work;
- charge additional fees;
- rearrange the appointment;
- refuse additional work.

14. Extremely Dirty Vehicles
Prices displayed online assume a vehicle in reasonably average condition.
Where a vehicle requires substantially more time due to:
- excessive dirt;
- heavy mud;
- excessive pet hair;
- mould;
- biological contamination;
- construction dust;
- excessive staining;
- food waste;
- smoke contamination;
- strong odours;
TIDY JOB LTD may:
- charge additional fees;
- modify the scope of work;
- refuse the booking if the vehicle presents a health or safety risk.
Where reasonably possible, additional charges will be agreed before work begins.

15. Health & Safety
Our staff may immediately stop work where:
- aggressive behaviour occurs;
- abusive language is used;
- illegal substances are present;
- unsafe animals are not secured;
- the working area is unsafe;
- dangerous conditions exist.
The Customer shall remain liable for any applicable cancellation charges.

16. Refusal of Future Bookings
TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to refuse future bookings from any Customer who:
- repeatedly cancels appointments;
- repeatedly fails to attend;
- repeatedly reschedules at short notice;
- abuses members of staff;
- makes fraudulent complaints;
- initiates dishonest payment disputes or chargebacks;
- behaves in a threatening or abusive manner.
Such refusal shall not affect any statutory rights the Customer may have.
17. Existing Damage
17.1 The Customer is responsible for informing TIDY JOB LTD of any existing damage before work begins.
17.2 Existing damage includes but is not limited to:
- scratches;
- dents;
- stone chips;
- cracked glass;
- damaged trim;
- loose badges;
- peeling paint;
- previous repairs;
- damaged wheels;
- damaged interior components.
17.3 TIDY JOB LTD shall not be liable for deterioration or failure resulting from pre-existing defects.

18. Delicate & Aged Components
Vehicles naturally deteriorate over time.
TIDY JOB LTD accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from reasonable cleaning of components already weakened by:
- age;
- corrosion;
- previous accident repairs;
- poor quality repainting;
- failing lacquer;
- loose trim;
- deteriorated adhesives;
- cracked plastics;
- oxidised paint;
- previously damaged materials.

19. Ceramic Coatings, Waxes & Sealants
19.1 Ceramic coatings, waxes and paint sealants reduce over time depending on:
- weather;
- mileage;
- washing methods;
- chemicals used;
- vehicle storage;
- normal wear.
19.2 TIDY JOB LTD does not guarantee any specific lifespan unless expressly agreed in writing.
19.3 Manufacturer estimates should be regarded as guidance only and not as guaranteed performance.
19.4 Proper maintenance remains the Customer’s responsibility.

20. Personal Belongings
20.1 Customers should remove all valuables before the appointment.
20.2 TIDY JOB LTD accepts no responsibility for:
- cash;
- jewellery;
- watches;
- mobile phones;
- laptops;
- tablets;
- documents;
- keys;
- firearms;
- medication;
- any other personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
20.3 Any items found during cleaning may be placed inside the vehicle for the Customer’s convenience.

21. Customer Property
The Customer confirms they are authorised to request work on the vehicle.
TIDY JOB LTD accepts no responsibility where work has been requested by a person without the owner’s authority.

22. Photographs
22.1 TIDY JOB LTD may photograph or record the condition of the vehicle before, during and after the service.
22.2 These photographs may be used:
- to document vehicle condition;
- to investigate complaints;
- to defend legal claims;
- to respond to insurance matters.
22.3 Marketing use of identifiable photographs will only take place where the Customer has given the necessary permission or where otherwise permitted by law.

23. Complaints
23.1 Any complaint must be reported within 24 hours of completion of the service.
23.2 The Customer must provide:
- photographs;
- a description of the issue;
- reasonable opportunity for TIDY JOB LTD to inspect the vehicle before any third party carries out corrective work.
23.3 Failure to provide this opportunity may affect the outcome of the complaint.

24. Chargebacks
24.1 Customers agree to contact TIDY JOB LTD before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback.
24.2 Where a chargeback is raised fraudulently or without reasonable grounds, TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to recover all reasonable costs incurred in defending the claim where permitted by law.
24.3 Initiating an unjustified chargeback may result in refusal of future bookings.

25. Limitation of Liability
25.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
25.2 Subject to paragraph 25.1, TIDY JOB LTD shall not be liable for:
- indirect losses;
- consequential losses;
- loss of profits;
- loss of earnings;
- loss of business;
- loss of opportunity;
- inconvenience;
- delays beyond our reasonable control.
25.3 Where liability exists, it shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the relevant service giving rise to the claim, except where the law provides otherwise.

26. Force Majeure
TIDY JOB LTD shall not be responsible for failure or delay in performing services where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- severe weather;
- flooding;
- fire;
- accident;
- road closures;
- fuel shortages;
- strikes;
- illness;
- government restrictions;
- power failures;
- vehicle breakdowns;
- other unforeseeable events.
In such cases, appointments may be postponed without liability for compensation.
27. Gift Cards & Vouchers
27.1 Gift Cards and service vouchers are valid only until the expiry date shown.
27.2 Expired Gift Cards or vouchers cannot be redeemed unless TIDY JOB LTD agrees otherwise in writing.
27.3 Gift Cards and vouchers:
- are non-refundable;
- cannot be exchanged for cash;
- cannot be resold without our written permission;
- cannot be replaced if lost or stolen unless required by law.
27.4 Only one promotional code or voucher may normally be used per booking unless we state otherwise.

28. Promotions & Discounts
28.1 Promotional offers may be withdrawn or changed at any time without prior notice.
28.2 Discounts cannot normally be combined unless expressly stated.
28.3 TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to refuse promotional offers where misuse or fraud is suspected.

29. Right to Refuse Service
29.1 TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to refuse or discontinue any service where:
- the vehicle presents a health or safety risk;
- the Customer behaves aggressively or abusively;
- the Customer requests work outside the booked service without agreement;
- the condition of the vehicle makes completion unreasonable;
- payment has not been made where required;
- the Customer breaches these Terms & Conditions.
29.2 Where refusal results from the Customer’s actions, cancellation charges may still apply.

30. Quality of Service
30.1 We aim to provide services to a professional standard.
30.2 Some stains, scratches, odours, paint defects or contamination may be permanent and cannot always be removed safely.
30.3 We do not guarantee complete removal of:
- stains;
- scratches;
- odours;
- pet hair;
- mould;
- paint contamination;
- tree sap;
- tar;
- water spots;
- brake dust;
- any defect that cannot reasonably be corrected without risk of damage.

31. Customer Satisfaction
31.1 If the Customer believes part of the booked service has not been completed, they should notify TIDY JOB LTD within 24 hours.
31.2 Where appropriate, we may offer a reasonable opportunity to re-inspect or re-perform the affected part of the service before considering any other remedy.

32. Prices
32.1 Prices may change without prior notice.
32.2 Confirmed bookings will not normally be affected by later price changes.
32.3 Quoted prices are based upon information provided by the Customer.
32.4 If the vehicle size or condition differs materially from that described at the time of booking, additional charges may apply after discussing them with the Customer.

33. Intellectual Property
All logos, branding, photographs, website content and marketing materials remain the property of TIDY JOB LTD and may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.

34. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

35. Amendments
TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updated Terms will apply to bookings made after publication.

36. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

37. Waiver
Failure by TIDY JOB LTD to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other rights.

38. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

39. Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

40. Acceptance
By making a booking, paying for a service, purchasing a Gift Card, purchasing a Subscription, or allowing work to commence, the Customer confirms that they have:
- read these Terms & Conditions;
- understood these Terms & Conditions;
- accepted these Terms & Conditions.

41. Chargeback & Payment Disputes
The Customer agrees that where a payment dispute or chargeback is raised without reasonable grounds after the booked service has been provided, TIDY JOB LTD may rely on booking records, photographs, messages, invoices, payment records and any other relevant evidence when defending the claim. Where permitted by law, TIDY JOB LTD reserves the right to recover any reasonable costs incurred as a result of an unjustified chargeback.

42. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy and, where applicable, our Subscription Terms & Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between TIDY JOB LTD and the Customer in relation to the services provided.
